Lure Coursing is an activity designed for sighthounds to preserve and enhance their natural attributes of beauty, grace, and speed of a sighthound, without the need to chase real alive prey, without the need for a game to run live game. A lure simulates the rabbit race moves zigzag over the pulls, thus enabling the formation of the track as desired, so your dog can develop his skill and intelligence.
We are Coursing Club Serbia, a group of enthusiasts trying to bring Europe to Serbia.
We are taking this opportunity to thank everyone who has faith in us and who is following the very beginnings. The beginnings are always difficult, so support is the most precious thing.
Coursing in Serbia was established by Daria Kim. She transfers her knowledge about coursing and organizes the first seminar on May 28, 2016, with a lecturer, eminent coursing judge from Slovenia, Andrej Kerpan. That is when Serbia heard for the first time about lure coursing, which is active takes place all over Europe. A few of us enthusiasts are actively joining the ‘club’ in the spring of 2018. And while in Europe, countries like Germany represent over 100 dogs at international competitions, we in Serbia are moving forward in education and the first runs for a license.
With the support of our companions, we are slowly developing the idea of a healthy sports dog. We are committed to education about proper nutrition, which is accompanied by the health and energy of the dog. Only a healthy dog can do its best in sports.
For the last two years, we have managed to hold about 10 training in two years, which is a huge success for a young club. About 60 dogs of different breeds ran in our training.
Of all of them who came out on our field, 16 of them got a license, and some of them showed great successes at international lure coursing competitions.
We have a plan in front of us to host the eminent coursing judge Andrej Kerpan, who would hold a seminar about lure coursing.
We are streaming to attend on European Championship in Lure Coursing for 2021., which will be held in Hungary from April 30 to May 3, 2021, as a Serbian team.
In the long run, we also have the organization of the first national lure coursing competition ever held in Serbia. We hope to organize together with you.
